sister love

Stumbled upon these pictures and they reminded me of my sister and I.

I never knew what a best friend was until I realized when the whole world walked out on me my sister always remained by my side.

My sister is someone that I trust, love, and adore.

Someone who knows you inside and out and still loves you unconditionally.

The many inside jokes ...

I love you my little sister!

coconut water ... to drink or not to drink

So, I did some research on coconut water because I was getting some mixed reviews from a few of my friends about coconut water.  Is it really beneficial or not???

Here are some facts:

  • Coconut water has 15 times more potassium then any sports drink
  • There is a huge difference between drinking coconut juice from a coconut that is green rather then brown.  When the juice derives from a brown coconut that means that the coconut is old and that means the coconut juice has turned into fat!
  • Green coconuts have a total of 5 electrolytes!
    • Sodium
    • Magnesium
    • Calcium
    • Potassium
    • Phosphorus
  • Boosts the immune system
  • More hydrating then water!
  • No sugar added
  • Energy booster
  • Increases metabolic rate which can lead to weight loss
  • ZERO fat
  • ZERO cholesterol
  • ALL natural - coconut water has been used as an intravenous fluid and saves lives
The pictures above are the more reputable brands of coconut water :)

Cartier Love Collection ...

Went to google about Cartier Love ring and found a little background story about the Cartier LOVE collection...

In the summer of 1969, a (then young, now late) Cartier staff designer, Aldo Cipullo, created the Cartier Love bracelet, inspired by the chastity belt. Cipullo designed such that the Cartier Love ‘screw’ design is fastened with a tiny screw which can only be opened by the screw driver owned by the lover, symbolizing a "locked up," committed relationship.

This became a classic symbol of love, vividly depicting the faithful love and promises between the couple. What was special about the ring is that when putting on the ring, it requires the couple to tighten the screws on the ring together, signifying the unity needed to secure a relationship.  Definitely a great ring to get my future husband :)

The bracelets are also beautiful ... Something you can wear daily, dress up or dress it down.  Something that can maybe be passed down to your daughter, granddaughter, son, or grandson ... or anyone special for that matter.  It is definitely unisex.

love is ...

It’s when you’re leaving for work on a frigid morning and find that the ice has already been scraped off your windshield.

It’s when one cooks and the other does the dishes.

It’s when one gets up with a crying baby in the middle of the night so the other can get some sleep.

It’s a word of encouragement when you need it most.

It’s when one will be honest about unflattering pants or a booger situation and the other can trust their motives.

It’s when two people find each other attractive first thing in the morning.

It’s when someone accepts your family as their own.

It’s when you both take full responsibility for the maintenance of your shared living space.

It’s giving compliments freely and sometimes publicly and criticizing constructively and always privately.

It’s knowing someone’s secrets, pet peeves, and simple pleasures.

It’s having someone who will tell you the truth even when they know you would rather not hear it.

It’s being someone’s home base.

It’s giving your all to protect them.

It’s listening to someone vent without judging them.

It’s being their biggest advocate and most trusted confidante.

It’s having someone who will warm your cold feet.

It’s sharing inside jokes and knowing looks.

It’s offering the last bite and not begrudging them when they take it.

Love is putting in the work of having a successful marriage after all these years when it’s so easy to take each other for granted.

Bottom line – if you both put each other’s happiness before your own, you both win. Roses and candlelight are lovely, but they just scratch the surface. True love is not only for better or for worse. Its for the mundane, the boring, the frightening, the agonizing, the exuberant, the surprising and the wonderful.

A guy who will get you take-out hot & sour soup when you have the flu – that is love
